A dog called Ginty and his owner, Philomena (Phil) Barnes from Redditch, Worcestershire won the Obedience Championship for dogs on Friday 7th March, at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts.
Ginty (OB CH Forever Magic It’s A Gift), a Working Sheepdog and Phil competed against 21 other dogs and their handlers on the day and took home the coveted award.
Phil Barnes is one of the UK's most successful handlers producing six Obedience Champions. She has been competing in obedience for 40 years and has competed at Crufts since 1980.
Proud owner, Phil said: “I’m absolutely overwhelmed. I can’t believe it has happened to me.”
