Coldasice Cebalrai JW wins Kindergarten Crufts

A Siberian Husky called Coldasice Cebalrai has won the Grand Final of the Kennel Gazette Junior Warrant Winner of the Year Competition. The final took place on Thursday 5th March, the first day of Crufts, which is a celebration of happy, healthy dogs.

The Junior Warrant Competition is aimed at dogs from the dog show world from the ages of 6 to 18 months. The grand final saw ten young dogs competing at the NEC, Birmingham in the hope of winning one of the highest levels of achievement for young pedigree dogs.

For the chance to win this special Kennel Club award, dogs need to have achieved the title of Junior Warrant winner by collecting points awarded for first prizes at both Open and Championship Dog shows over the previous year. The finalists then won through from semi-finals held last November at the Kennel Club’s Discover Dogs event in London.

Coldasice Cebalrai, whose pet name is Rogue, and his owner, Mr M Patrick from Stanley, Co Durham were presented with an award and trophy by Kennel Club Chairman Ronnie Irving. Rogue will be featured in the flagship publication of the Kennel Club, the Kennel Gazette, which keeps readers up to date with all the latest developments within the world of dogs every month.

The runner up in the competition was Allforus Dice Master for Spitzcav,  also known as Connor, a Keeshond, from Manchester.

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club spokesperson, said, “We would like to congratulate all of the competitors who took part in the Junior Warrant Winner of the Year competition. A special congratulations to Rogue on his fine achievement in winning this award.”

The Kennel Gazette Junior Warrant competition is just one of the fascinating activities taking place at Crufts, which is celebrating happy, healthy dogs from 5th - 8th March 2009 at the NEC, Birmingham. For further information, please visit or watch live streaming from the event at
