Private Photographers Film or Video Film Operators at Crufts

  1. A permit is not required but those who take films, photographs and recordings at the show must comply with the following conditions.

  2. Use and Purpose of FilmsPhotographs and Recordings
    a)The film/photographs/recordings should not be used for any commercial purpose.

    b)The film/photographs/recordings should not be distributed for broadcast on television transmissions at the time of the event nor subsequently in any way whatsoever.

    c)No film/photographs/recordings to be taken or published which shall contain anything obscene or libellous or defamatory or infringe any intellectual property right or any right whatever of any person (including The Kennel Club); or which may be to the detriment of the dogs taking part in the event, The Kennel Club or any visitors; or which may be prejudicial to the good image of The Kennel Club or which would if made public lead to adverse publicity for The Kennel Club or cause damage to The Kennel Club or bring the reputation of The Kennel Club or its members and/or visitors into question;

    d)Taking photographs, filming or recording in the exhibition premises for sale or reward is strictly prohibited except with the written permission of the organisers. The organisers reserve the right at their absolute discretion to confiscate cameras, films or recording equipment for infringement of this condition.

    e)The Kennel Club will not charge a fee for private filming, photographing or recording at Crufts, in accordance with the above conditions, but in return for this facility reserves the right to borrow the film/photographs/recordingsfor viewing and, if appropriate, reproductions.

  3. Requirementsat the venue
    a)Not to block gangways – cameras, film or recording equipment must be HAND HELD. Tripods may not be used (monopods are permitted as long as they do not impede people from viewing the show).

    b)Not to enter a breed ring during any part of the judging or interfere in any way with the judging of the dogs or the running of the show. However judges may be asked for permission for photographs to be taken at the end of the class or after the Challenge Certificate is awarded.

    c)Not to film/photograph/record any specific dog without the consent of the exhibitor and to inform the exhibitor of the intended use of such photographs and where the photographs may be published e.g. specific websites and so on.

    d)Filming and flash photography is allowed from outside the rings at all times unless the operation of the camera is actually affecting exhibits. However, if a powerful flash unit is used or it is clear that exhibits are being affected, a ring steward or the judge is empowered to stop such photography.

    e)No drones may be used at the show.

    f)NO ADDITIONAL LIGHTING TO THAT EXISTING IN THE HALL CAN BE PERMITTED

    g)AT ALL TIMES COMPLY WITH ANY INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY THE RING STEWARDS OR THE MAIN RING STEWARDS.

PLEASE NOTE:

No filming, photography or recording of any sort is allowed during the Best In Show section of the Arena Programme at Crufts.

NB: PLEASE KEEP A COPY OF THIS FORM WITH YOU AT THE SHOW IN CASE REQUESTED TO SEE IT.
