Wickhamford Dog And Owner Win The Double At Crufts

Detox, a Border Collie from Wickhamford near Evesham, and her owner, Greg Derrett won two prestigious agility competitions at Crufts after triumphing in the Kennel Club Agility Championships and the Crufts Singles competition.

Greg and Detox won in both the large dog category of both competitions. This wasn’t the first time Greg has won at Crufts as he had previously won the Crufts Championship for small dogs in 2011 with his dog Scout and the Singles competition last year with Detox.

Greg commented on his achievement: “Having won the Singles on Friday and retained her title from last year, the addition of the Championship for Detox was a nice bonus to a great weekend.” Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: “We would like to congratulate Greg and Detox on their wonderful achievement. The agility competitions were all of a very high standard this year and the finals were all hotly contested so to win two shows what a great team they are.”
