Vintage Crufts gets the iPhone treatment

Crufts iPhone applicationIf you love dogs, you will love the new iPhone application which is being launched at DFS Crufts 2010.

This new application, designed to be downloaded by iPhone users is a great opportunity to see unique and beautiful images, celebrating the history of Crufts. Access amazing vintage photographs from the Kennel Club picture archives, which have never been seen before: a bit of dog (and fashion) history only a few taps away!

Some examples of imagery you will find include external shots of Olympia in 1948, Princess Margaret and Prince Michael of Kent, both of whom are regular guests at the Show. You will also find some amazing fashion statements from the 40s, 50s, 70s and 80s.
DFS Crufts is the world’s greatest dog show and a celebration of everything to do with dogs. The image of Charles Cruft is the first image that you find on the application – we hope that he would be proud to see how Crufts has developed and how proud we are of its history and its future!

The application, which has been developed by Revel Mob, also allows users to post images they love to their Facebook page, save to their gallery and send to their Friends.

Revel Mob have launched this in celebration of the long history of Crufts and are looking forward to add considerably more vintage photographs to this application, thus making it the Ultimate Crufts Vintage Photo Collection. They are also looking into developing more interactive and engaging applications for the event and the Kennel Club in the near future and welcome any ideas of what you would like to see in the next Crufts iPhone application.
