Dog lovers are invited to come along to enjoy the experience of seeing 6,000 dogs entered in the annual Blackpool Championship Show in Westby, near Blackpool.
Over 169 breeds of pedigree dog will compete from the 25th to the 27th June. Ten thousand dogs will be competing for the ultimate ‘Best in Show’ prize and for a chance to take part in the world’s largest dog show, DFS Crufts.
The show is one of 38 General Championship Dog Shows licensed by the Kennel Club throughout the year which enable dogs to qualify for DFS Crufts.
Dog lovers of all ages will be in their element at the show, where the Young Kennel Club (YKC) will be hosting an Activity Weekend providing both new and experienced members with the opportunity to learn how to train their dogs or brush up their skills. Activities on offer include YKC Handling, the YKC Stakes and Junior Handling Association classes.
Show Secretary Steve Hall said: “This is a great day out for the entire family and we are all looking forward to the return of the ever popular Saturday Night Disco event, including a fish and chip supper.”
The show promises to be an interesting and entertaining weekend for all and none competing dogs are welcome. Admission is free and car parking is £10 for the three days.
