dfs Crufts Qualifiers come to Stafford

Hound lovers are invited to come along to enjoy the experience of seeing over 2,000 dogs entered in the annual Hound Association Championship Dog Show at the County Showground, Stafford.

Over 30 different breeds of pedigree Hound dogs will compete on 7 August for the ultimate ‘Best in Show’ prize and for a chance to take part in the world’s largest dog show, DFS Crufts.

A fun day out for all of the family, visitors will be treated to a parade of working hounds, some mounted and some on foot and a varied selection of interesting and intriguing trade stands.

The show is one of 38 General Championship Dog Shows licensed by the Kennel Club throughout the year which enable dogs to qualify for DFS Crufts.

Show Secretary, Shirley Rawlings said “We pride ourselves on being the show run by hound people for hound people.  We have low prices and lots going on for anyone interested in dogs and especially hounds.

“At the show, visitors will be able to see popular Hound breeds such as Beagles, Foxhounds, Dachshunds, Greyhounds, Bloodhounds, Whippets ad so much more.”

Entry for visitors is just £5 per car and the show itself is free. Non-competing dogs are allowed into the event for a small fee and a pass must be obtained from the Show Secretary’s Office. Dogs must not be left in cars at the show.
