Crufts on the Web
The Kennel Club has launched its new Crufts website, www.crufts.org.uk, using modern technology to make the world’s greatest dog show even more interactive and enjoyable for all dog lovers. There's a countdown on the homepage so you can cross off the days until the start of the biggest dog event on the planet!
The Kennel Club is making use of a number of new technologies to ensure that the latest information on the show is available to all. Images will be found on the site as well as supplied through Flickr; video footage can be viewed on YouTube and the Kennel Club is joining the increasingly popular world of blogging. Bill Lambert, the Kennel Club’s Health and Information Manager, also judges and exhibits and will give his view on what makes Crufts so special.
Exhibitors are extremely important to the show of course. All the news that exhibitors need, such as the schedule, judging changes and entry figures will be carried on the site. With the ever increasing enthusiasm for the show overseas, information is also available in six different languages.
The site will be gauging your views with a series of surveys and polls. To start this off, we’re finding out which was your favourite Best in Show winner from the last five years - a difficult choice indeed.
The Crufts e-newsletter will start coming out to users this week and will be detailing all the news and features on the show as we count down towards March. Please make sure you register for this newsletter as soon as possible so that you don't miss out.
Tickets are now on sale and you can purchase these in advance and save money. We're also working on a host of travel offers, so keep your paw on the mouse and visit the coolest canine site on the world wide web, www.crufts.org.uk.
