Crufts is officially launched
Crufts, the world's greatest dog show has been officially launched in Green Park, London this morning. To highlight the way in which dogs and people nurture and look after each other, Pets as Therapy and five PAT dogs were joined by dog lover James Caan of Dragon's Den and director of Fit Fur Life, which promotes the rehabilitation and training of dogs.
Crufts, organised by the Kennel Club at the NEC in Birmingham from the 6th - 9th March 2008 looks forward to welcoming 153,000 visitors and 22,964 of the best dogs in the world to compete for the prestigious title, Best in Show. This falls short of the 1991 world record entry by just 27 dogs! Crufts celebrates the bond between people and their dogs and favours campaigns such as the current Year of the Assistance Dog.
