How does the Kennel Club do it?
The Kennel Club is opening its doors to the public once again this year, offering the chance to see behind the scenes of its central London offices with a free guided tour. You are invited to see for yourself what the Kennel Club really has to offer, and the efforts it makes to improve the health and welfare of thousands of dogs in the UK.
From March onwards, the Kennel Club will be running a new season of tours at its headquarters at Clarges Street in the heart of London. The tours will provide visitors with the opportunity to see first hand how the Kennel Club is an unparalleled source of information, experience and advice on dog welfare, health, training and breeding. Kennel Club members, Len Anness and Jimmy Keizer will be hosting the tours led by Sue Sampson, the Kennel Club's Roadshow Manager.
There will also be the chance to appreciate the Art Gallery, which provides a permanent display area for important elements of the Kennel Club’s fascinating collection of artwork and ephemera, ensuring its long-term survival, preservation and growth. Visitors attending these tours will have the opportunity to see the Art Gallery’s current exhibition ‘A Celebration of the Irish Setter’ which is being held in conjunction with the Irish Setter Association.
For those visitors attending Crufts this year we are delighted to be able to offer you a post Crufts tour. If you are planning on extending your stay in Birmingham after Crufts, Clarges Street is only 90 minutes away. Our post Crufts tour will take place on Wednesday 12th March, commencing at 11am.
Morning tours will commence at 11am and visitors are invited to arrive at Clarges Street from 10.30am onwards when refreshments will be served. This year also sees the introduction of afternoon tours. These will commence at 2.30pm and visitors are invited to arrive from 2pm onwards. There is no charge to attend these tours.
