Launch of Crufts DVD
The 2007 Glee Exhibition, Birmingham saw the official trade launch of the first Crufts DVD release, which features highlights from the past three years of action at the renowned dog show.
Recognised as the largest and most prestigious dog show in the world, Crufts is an international event, attracting over 150,000 visitors and 25,000 dogs annually.
Crufts: The Ultimate Collection (RRP £19.99) was released at Glee on 17th September, and the launch was attended by the current Best in Show titleholder, CH/AM CH ARAKI FABULOUS WILLY and owner Neil Smith.
The three disc set features the highlights of the Group Judging and Best in Show at the 2005, 2006, and 2007 events, providing dog lovers the chance to relive the dog showing action from each event. With Crufts attracting a global audience that is unrivalled by any similar event, there is clearly a market for the DVD, and with this inaugural release containing nearly four hours of action, the set certainly offers value for money.
Dog lovers can watch as entrants compete to achieve the coveted title of ‘Best in Show’, as thousands of dogs go head to head to be judged by experts determining who should be crowned champion. The DVD set rounds up all of the action from the Group Judging and Best in Show where the very top dogs from the show compete.
Along with a selection of interviews with key personalities from the dog exhibiting world, viewers are treated to all of the action that secured the top accolade achieved by Tibetan Terrier, Araki Fabulous Willy, in 2007, Australian Shepherd, Caitland Isle Take A Chance, in 2006, and Norfolk Terrier, Cracknor Cause Celebre, in 2005, as well as all of the highlights from the rest of the shows.
