Well what a few days we all had at Crufts. Palma went to the Press Briefing to work out all there was to sniff out for the day and now she and Caesar have sent in their reports for their last day. We all saw some great performances and met some real VIP’s, it couldn’t have been a better day all round. To top it off I was on Sky News with Carolyn Menteith and gave her a huge kiss live on TV, she just kept to the script, what a pro!
Our interview with the Dog World Editor, Stuart Baillie is now on their Crufts page at http://bit.ly/Lr5eE and their pro photographer took some great shots of me discussing some of the lead stories for the day on the Dog World stand (see photo on the right).
I spent lots of time talking to people about how important it is to socialise puppies in the early weeks before they leave their mum to give them a good start to build upon when they get to their new homes. Just to prove the point when I was on the Weanafeeda stand signing my DVD, I rolled on my back to have my tummy rubbed, to explain about dog manners and things. I also dropped in to have a heart to heart with Paul on the Dirt Trapper mat stand – I think we will keep in touch, we have a lot in common since my pals and I do like getting muddy.
One important job that I made sure that I did on Saturday was to help one of my friends sign up for the Young Kennel Club. I had to make sure that she filled all the forms in just right, she couldn’t have done it without me, thought you would like to see the photo to prove how useful I am to have around.
I spent some time meeting Kate and Gin with her new puppy Ice. I was really pleased that Scarlett, Tallulah’s companion was able to join me to check out Kate’s new book on the Ringpress stand and sign a copy for her. Scarlett also met Marc the Vet and Peter Purves as they dashed through the Press Office and finally went to get Tallulah’s coat measured at Togs for Dogs where all our Press Pack jackets have been made. Check out their website, http://bit.ly/JShPd all their coats are made to measure and I can vouch for the fact they do a great job.
In my anchor dog role I am now handing over to Palma and Caesar for their final reports
