Jet the Flat Coated Retriever earns chance to be Top Dog in dfs Crufts 2011 Best In Show Final

Sh Ch Vbos The Kentuckian aka Jet, a Flatcoated Retriever from South Queensferry, Edinburgh has qualified for the prestigious dfs Crufts Best in Show final, which will be held on Sunday evening at the world’s greatest dog show, after winning Best Gundog today.

Over 21,000 dogs are competing over the four days of the show, taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, for one of just seven places in the final and the chance to win the most celebrated title in the world of dogs. This year is the 120th anniversary of dfs Crufts, and the winner will join a long line of champions that have taken the Best in Show title in that time.

Breeder Jim Irvine and Jet, aged 9 ½ will be returning to the Main Arena at dfs Crufts on Sunday evening for the highly anticipated dfs Crufts 2011 final, which will be televised live on More4.

Jim said: “It’s marvellous, especially at 9 ½, I am absolutely delighted“.

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Communications Director, said: “Reaching the Best in Show competition at dfs Crufts is a fabulous achievement for any dog, and we wish Jet all the very best for the final. I’m sure that all of Scotland will be tuning in to More4 and rooting for them to win on Sunday evening.”
