Dog lovers are invited to come along to enjoy the experience of seeing nearly 7,000 dogs entered in the Three Counties Agricultural Society Championship Dog Show at the Malvern Showground in Worcestershire.
160 breeds of pedigree dog will compete from the 9th - 12th June for the ultimate 'Best in Show' prize, and for a chance to take part in the world’s largest dog show, DFS Crufts.
The show is one of 38 General Championship Dog Shows licensed by the Kennel Club throughout the year which enable dogs to qualify for DFS Crufts.
Visitors are welcome to the show and entry is free. Each day will host different breeds of pedigree dog, which are divided into seven groups. On Wednesday 9th June visitors can see the Gundog group being judged, with the Pastoral and Terrier groups on Thursday 10th, Hounds and Toy breeds being shown on Friday 11th before the Working and Utility groups round off the show on Saturday 12th The seven group winners will then compete for the prestigious Best in Show award at the climax of the show on Saturday. Show Secretary Jackie Lane commented “This is a great day out in a beautiful setting as the Malvern Hills provide a stunning backdrop. As well as the show there will be lots of trade and catering stands for visitors to wander around and grab a bite to eat.”
