Kennel Club And British Veterinary Association Fund Fight Against Health Condition

The Kennel Club Charitable Trust and the British Veterinary Association (BVA) have pledged up to £30K to support breeds concerned about the health condition Chiari Malformation/Syringomyelia (CM/SM).

This funding will allow any owners of Kennel Club registered dogs that have had MRI scans taken before the inception of the BVA/KC CM/SM Scheme in 2012, to have their scans assessed by the Scheme and results published for free, a process to the value of £100.

Gloucestershire Agility Stars Wins British Open At Crufts

Rehab, a Border Collie and Greg Derrett from Gotherington, Cheltenham won the Kennel Club British Open for large dogs on Thursday 5th March at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts.

The international event saw the top large, medium and small dogs from different countries, which qualified at the Kennel Club International Agility Festival in August 2014, take to the ring to compete in the final.

Road Closure Alerts For Crufts Competitors

The Kennel Club is alerting anyone travelling to Crufts of road closures in the West Midlands area which may affect journeys to and from the NEC in Birmingham.

The Kennel Club would advise anyone travelling via these routes to consider planning an alternate route to minimise inconvenience.
